Introduction
Baliwrap processes personal data of its customers, potential customers, and other contacts. We do this to be able to execute any agreements. In this privacy statement, we explain why and how we process your personal data.

Which personal data does Baliwrap process
Below is an overview of the personal data we may process, depending on the products or services you take or use:
- First and last name
- Address
- City
- Phone number
- Email address
- Company name
- Company address details
- Location data
- VAT number
- Contact history
Other personal data that you actively provide, for example by registering on our website, in correspondence, and by phone.
- Legal obligations
A small part of our processing is legally required. This mainly concerns personal data needed to comply with our tax obligations.
- Newsletters and mailings
Occasionally, we send newsletters and/or mailings. Sometimes these are personalized based on certain actions you have taken or products and/or services you have obtained from us. You always have the option to adjust your preferences for receiving newsletters and mailings.
Automated decision-making
Baliwrap does not make decisions based on automated processing (algorithms) that could have negative consequences for you.
Rights of data subjects
Under the GDPR, everyone has certain rights. We do our utmost to comply with these rights as best as we can. If you have any tips or comments, please let us know! To exercise your rights, you can contact us at info@baliwrap.nl.
- Information and access: You can view which personal data we process about you. We would also be happy to tell you more about how and why we process that data.
- Rectification: If you believe we have incorrect data about you, please let us know, and we will correct it.
- Right to be forgotten: You can request the deletion of the personal data we have about you. However, we may still need to process that data for other purposes (e.g., administration or deduplication).
- Restriction: If you believe we are processing your personal data unlawfully or incorrectly, you can request to restrict that processing.
- Objection: You can object to the processing of your personal data. If it concerns marketing, we will cease that processing as soon as possible.
- Data portability: This is a new right under the GDPR to transfer your personal data. If you wish to make use of this, please contact us.
Additionally, you can also:
- Withdraw consent: For example, for receiving mailings. If you wish to withdraw consent for another processing, you can contact us. This can be done via info@baliwrap.nl.
- File a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (AP): If you think we are not acting in accordance with privacy legislation, we would like to hear from you. You can also file a complaint with the AP.
How long do we retain your personal data?
Personal data should not be retained longer than necessary. The retention period depends on the purpose for which we obtained or collected the data and any legal obligations to retain data.
If you requested a quote from us but did not become a customer, we will delete your data no later than two years after our last contact. Similarly, if we received a quote from you but did not become your customer, your personal data will also be deleted no later than two years after our last contact. If you have become our customer or vice versa, we will retain your personal data for seven years after the end of the financial year in which the agreement with you was fully executed. The seven-year period corresponds to the duration for which we are required to retain our records for tax purposes. After this period, we will delete your personal data.
Legal grounds for processing:
As explained above, we process some data to fulfill a legal obligation, some to execute an agreement, and most for the legitimate interest of Baliwrap: achieving our objectives. If you want to know more about the considerations we make regarding legitimate interests, please contact us.
Disclosure to third parties
In connection with the execution of a potential agreement with you, it is possible that we need to provide your personal data to parties that supply products and/or services to us or perform work on our behalf. Furthermore, we use external server space for the storage of (parts of) our sales and purchase administration, of which your personal data is a part. For this reason, your personal data may be disclosed to our server space provider.
How Baliwrap secures your personal data
We take the protection of your data seriously and implement appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unlawful alteration. We have taken the following measures to secure your personal data:
- Servers and devices of our employees are equipped with up-to-date security software, such as antivirus and firewall.
- We only send your data via secure internet connections (SSL). You can see this in the address bar as ‘https’ and the padlock icon.
- Access to personal data from mobile devices is restricted and actively monitored.
DKIM are internet standards that we use to prevent you from receiving emails in our name that contain viruses, are spam, or are intended to obtain personal (login) information.
